DOH detects 20K more COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) detected 20,336 more people who were infected with coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Based on Friday's case bulletin, the total number of confirmed cases in the country is now at 2,324,475, of which, 8.1 percent or 188,108 are active infections.

Of those who are still being treated for COVID-19, 87.6 percent have mild symptoms, 8.1 percent are asymptomatic, 0.6 percent are critical, 1.3 percent are severe, and 2.49 percent are moderate.

The DOH also reported 10,028 new recoveries and 310 more deaths.

These brought the recovery tally to 2,100,039 or 90.3 percent of the total case count, while the death toll is now at 36,328 or 1.56 percent of the case total.

Tungo dito, kritikal ang ating pagsunod sa minimum public health standards bilang pangunahing panangga laban sa pagkalat ng COVID-19 (We all want to get through the COVID-19 pandemic safely. It is critical that we adhere to minimum public health standards as these serve as our first shield against the spread of COVID-19),” the DOH said.

“Kasabay nito, maging alisto sa mga sintomas at agad na makipag-ugnayan sa Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERTs) o One COVID-19 Referral Center para sa karampatang gabay (At the same time, remain to be alert with regards to symptoms and immediately contact the Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams or the One COVID-19 Referral Center for appropriate guidance),” it added.
