A fire hit a residential area in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig shortly before midnight Wednesday.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Taguig, the fire happened at No. 409 Severina Subdivision, Bagumbayan on Sept. 15 with the first alarm raised at 11:39 p.m.
Fire fighters raised the second alarm at 11:45 p.m. before the fire was put under control at 12:36 a.m. and eventually put out at 12:42 a.m.
Probers identified the owner of the house as Julie Ann Mariano. The fire affected 10 houses with 14 families, or 64 individuals.
According to BFP-Taguig, the cost of damage to property was about P140,000. No one was injured in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A Facebook post by Barangay Bagumbayan stated that 21 families composed of 76 individuals were affected by the fire. Nine houses were totally damaged while 12 were partially damaged.
A total of 53 fire trucks responded to the fire consisting of 19 from BFP and 34 from volunteer groups and local government units. Three ambulances also responded to the incident.
