Six members of K-pop boy band ENHYPEN who tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) earlier this month are now cured and were discharged from treatment facilities.
In an announcement on Sept. 16, BELIFT Lab, their agency, said, “We would like to inform you that ENHYPEN members Jungwoon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon and Ni-ki have been determined to have fully recovered from COVID-19 and have been discharged from their treatment facilities, and are no longer in quarantine as of Thursday, September 16.”
“All the members are resting with a clean bill of health. Sunoo also underwent re-testing in order to exit self-quarantine and was found to be negative,” it added.
BELIFT Lab said, “We appreciate your deep concern for the health of our artists. We would also like to inform you that ENHYPEN’s 1st studio album will be released in October. We will provide a separate notice with details.”
“We will continue to place the highest priority on the health and safety of our artists, and fully comply with government COVID-19 control measures,” the agency said.
Last Sept. 2, the agency said Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake and Sunghoon tested positive for COVID-19.
Jake was the first member of ENHYPEN to get the disease last Aug. 30 followed by Jungwoon, Heeseung, Jay and Sunghoon. Jake was also the first member to recover from the virus.
Ni-ki was confirmed to have COVID-19 last Sept. 4. Sunoo is the only member of ENHYPEN who is COVID-19 free.
