243 stranded OFWs arrive in PH from UAE

A total of 243 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) arrived in the country after several delays of their flight back home from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The flight carrying the OFWs through the government's repatriation program arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept, 16.

The national government has initiated repatriation due to travel restrictions being implemented by the Philippines on some countries that include the UAE.

The repatriation was a relief to the OFWs due to limited commercial flights back to the Philippines.
