Kylie Verzosa, Diego Loyzaga, Christian Bables and Sean De Guzman, stars of the upcoming comedy film "Bekis On The Run," are simply grateful for all the wonderful blessings and people who make them happy during the pandemic.
During a Zoom conference recently, the stars said that family bonding, close friends, and work keep their spirits up in these unusual times.

"My family and friends who are close to me. They make me happy. Medyo mahirap ang buhay ngayon because of the pandemic. Partner ko rin si Jake (Cuenca). And best friend ko si Harry," said Verzosa, when asked about the people and things that make her happy.
De Guzman said: "Siguro 'yung family ko. Sobra yung kasiyahan ko ngayon na kapag umuuwi ako galing sa work at magkakasama sila. So family."

"My family. Ngayong pandemic, nagkaroon kami ng panahon na mag-bonding sa bahay. Then business. Ang laking tulong niya," said Bables.
Loyzaga said: "Pretty much the same, my loved ones. Pero, it doesn't make much time to make me happy. We have food to eat, meron tayong bahay na tinitirahan, meron tayong work. Work is a very big factor. What's amazing about acting, sometimes you try to forget who Diego Loyzaga is. And there's another character and another world na walang pandemic, COVID-19. You finish your lock-in, you go home and rest for a few days. Then you continue having food on the table and save money. It's such a hard time right now. The fact that we have work is a blessing in itself. Nakakatauwa lang talaga were one of those lucky people who are working during the pandemic. And that's what makes me happy."

Verzosa also admired "bekis" (gays) for their creativity.
"Parang nagagwa nila lahat. Yung creativity nila nasa ibang level na. Minsan mas magaling pa sila sa mga babae. Parang lagi silang fun to be around with. They brighten up your day when you're down. Sobrang gustong gusto ko sila makasama," the former Miss International said.
In the movie, Diego Loyzaga and Christian Bables are running out of money, running out of time, and running away in "Bekis On The Run," a much-awaited comedy-drama movie by award-winning director Joel Lamangan coming on VIVAMAX this September.
Andres (Diego Loyzaga) and his gay brother Donald (Christian Bables) try to rob a construction site, but things get complicated, leaving them no choice but to run. They get the sympathy of many, especially the gay community, when Nanay Pacing (Lou Veloso), the reason behind their theft act, goes viral on social media when she shares about her medical condition and how the brothers want to help her get the money for her operation.

Diego Loyzaga and Christian Bables are joined by Kylie Verzosa, who plays Adriana, Andres’s partner, and Sean De Guzman as Martin, Donald’s ex-boyfriend. Sean has worked with Direk Joel Lamangan in “Anak ng Macho Dancer” and is already used to doing sexy scenes on screen. And it is only Direk Joel Lamangan who convinced Christian, who’s used to portraying gay roles, to do a bed scene and torrid kissing scene with his partner Sean.
Aside from being a comedy-drama film, Bekis On The Run will also tackle corruption and least-talked topics such as gay men in the military. Coming from Direk Joel Lamangan, there is undoubtedly a lot to look forward to in the movie.
