Former DLSU basketball captain Rafa Dinglasan passes away


The 53-year-old succumbed to COVID-19.

In a Facebook post earlier today, September 13, the wife of Rafa Dinglasan confirmed that the former De La Salle University captain has succumbed to COVID-19. He is survived by his wife and two children.

"Rafa is healed! He has won the biggest game of his life with Jesus as his coach and all the angels as his teammates. Rafa gave it the biggest fight of his life. The greatest championship game. He fought the good fight and is claiming his championship trophy from God in heaven with Mom and Dad welcoming him. Animo forever, Rafa!"

Dinglasan was part of the collegiate basketball team where they won the UAAP championship in 1989. He played in the Philippine Basketball league, for the MBA, and moved on as assistant coach for De La Salle-College of St. Benilde.
