BIÑAN CITY, Laguna - The local government unit (LGU) inaugurated on Monday, Sept. 13, its Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility at the Biñan City People's Center in the City Hall compound.
The center will serve as a quarantine facility for residents with mild symptoms of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
"Sa pamamagitan ng pag isolate sa quarantine facility ay maiiwasan ang family clustering o hawaan sa mga pamilya (By isolating patients in the quarantine facility, we can avoid family clustering or infection within the family)," Mayor Arman Dimaguila said in a Facebook post.
The facility consists of 40 hospital beds, each enclosed in a modular relief tent – 20 units on the first floor for males and 20 units on the second floor for females.
The city used to have a mega quarantine facility at the Alonte Sports Arena, but the facility was transferred to Calamba. The arena is now being used as one of the city's vaccination sites.
