Mayor Carla Galvez-Tan of San Ildefonso, Bulacan and her whole family have tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
This was the third time that Mayor Tan contracted the dreaded disease following her infection in March and in June this year.
In her Facebook page post on Friday, Sept. 10, the mayor revealed that her husband Jeffrey Tan, two sons Andrew and Alfonso Benedict, and parents Edgardo and Leonila Galvez have also tested positive for COVID-19.
The mayor said she received her second dose of COVID-19 vaccine on the 12th day of August 2021.
Tan became the seventh chief executive in Bulacan who contracted COVID-19.
The other mayors afflicted with the disease are Ferdie Estrella of Baliwag, Vergel Meneses of Bulakan, Eladio Gonzales Jr. of Balagtas, Jose Santiago of Bocaue, Russel Pleyto of Sta. Maria, and Cipriano Violago of San Rafael.
