Pasay Comelec to conduct voters' registration in malls

The Commission on Election (Comelec) in Pasay City will conduct voter’s registration from September 11 up to 30 at the city’s two biggest mall.

According to Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, Comelec Election Officer IV Atty. Ronaldo Santiago wrote her a letter asking the help of the city government through the Public Information Office (PIO) for information dissemination on the scheduled dates of mall registration.

Pasay City PIO chief Jun Burgos said Pasay Comelec will conduct voter’s registration at SM Mall of Asia and at Double Dragon Mall.

Burgos said the scheduled registration at SM Mall of Asia will be from September 11 to 17; September 2- to 24 and September 27 to 30.

He said the schedule for the Double Dragon mall will be on September 18 and 25.

The Comelec is encouraging all qualified voters to register and participate in the upcoming 2022 National and Local Elections.

Applicants are also encouraged to download and fill-out the form at com.gov.ph, irehistro.gov.ph or through the official Facebook page: OEO Pasay.

The Comelec said that for purposes of verification, valid IDs and other proof of identification must be presented.

Burgos said that as per Comelec records, there are 144,784 for District I and 140,754 for District 2 for a total of 285,538 registered voters as of the 2019 elections.

He said that based on the Comelec’s record on September 6, the new number of registered voters for District I is 127,456 and 125,552 for District 2.
