15M Filipinos fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

Over 15 million individuals in the Philippines have already been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Department of Health (DOH) said on Tuesday, Sept. 7

Based on the DOH data, 15,033,354 Filipinos completed the required dosage of COVID-19 vaccines nationwide, as of Sept. 5.

The total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses that have already been administered is now at 35,838,964. This figure includes the 20,805,610 doses that were given as first dose, the DOH said.

Of the fully vaccinated, over 2.03 million were healthcare workers, 4.01 million were senior citizens, 5.28 million were persons with comorbidities, 3.05 million were essential workers, and 635,988 were indigents.

For the partially vaccinated, 2.42 million were healthcare workers, 3.42 million were senior citizens, 5.66 million were persons with comorbidities, 7.15 million were essential workers, and 2.13 million were indigents.

"Our defense against COVID-19 and its variants is by following the minimum public health standards and getting vaccinated. Let's remember to properly wear our masks and face shields, observe physical distancing, wash our hands properly, and ensure adequate ventilation when we are indoors," the DOH said.

"Also, let's get vaccinated when it's our turn and get the second dose as scheduled," it added.
