Insufficient stocks of vaccines prompted the local government of Taytay, Rizal to disallow walk-ins in the town’s vaccination sites.

Instead, the local government, in its Facebook page, said residents are encouraged to enlist in the town’s vaccination rollout through the link, taytaytrail.appcase.net> in order to be included in list of recipients of the vaccine that are being administered in several sites including SM City Taytay.
As of Sept. 2, 2021, the town government has utilized a total of 49,279 vaccines, 32,716 of which were given as first dose while 16,563 were given as second dose to registered recipients.
The town has recorded 561 active cases out of the 6,059 confirmed COVID-19 tally. It logged 5,338 recoveries and 160 deaths.
In August, Rizal Municipal League president and Binangonan Mayor Cesar Ynares requested the Department of Health-Region 4 to allocate more vaccines for the province, citing its big population.
