Schools are starting to slowly, slowly reopen with the Department of Education (DepEd), saying that 100 public and 20 private schools could soon be allowed to conduct face-to-face classes amid the improving coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation in some areas of the Philippines.

Meanwhile, the verbal tussle between Malacanang and the Senate raged on as both sides have either gone on the offense or defense in the question of allegedly anomalous purchases of the Department of Health (DOH) at the height of the pandemic.
