Amadeo, Cavite implements granular lockdowns to contain COVID-19


AMADEO, Cavite - The local government unit (LGU) here is implementing localized granular lockdowns in several areas starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday (September 2) to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Areas affected by the lockdown include Barangays Banaybanay, Pangil, Tamacan, and several parts of Poblacion 6.

From September 2 to 12, only residents with quarantine passes will be allowed to go out of their home to access essential goods and services within their barangay during the window hours of 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APORs) will be required to undergo daily health monitoring through their respective Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams (BHERT).

Four other barangays, meanwhile, were identified as COVID-19 areas of special concern and will be closely monitored by the LGU. These are Barangays Halang, Loma, Maitim 1st, and Maymangga.

Longer curfew hours from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. will be implemented in the whole municipality with exceptions for APORs , workers delivering essential goods and services, and residents dealing with emergencies.
