MUPH candidate from Cebu is proud member of the LGBTQ community

Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) caters to all beauties eager to make a mark in pageantry.

Yes, even members of the LGBTQ community.

Last year, Billie Hakenson made heads turn revealing she is a member of the LGBTQ community.

She finished fourth runner up.

Following in her footstep is Beatrice “Bea” Luigi Gomez.

At the pageant’s interview challenge over the weekend, the 26-year-old beauty queen from Cebu made sure people are aware of her sexuality, proudly admitting her relationship with Performance DJ Kate Jagdon.

She said, “When I want to spice up my workouts, I do a few rounds of boxing, and I do most of these things with my girlfriend Kate.”

“We’ve been together for six years, going seven in a few months,” she added.

Notably, Bea finished at the Top 7 of the segment along with Victoria Velasquez Vincent (Cavite), Maria Ingrid Teresita Santamaria (Parañaque), Rousanne Marie Bernos (San Juan City), Isabelle De Los Santos (Makati), Megan Julia Digal (Bukidnon), and Simone Nadine Bornilla (Marinduque).

This isn’t the first time that Bea mentioned her being a part of the LGBTQ community.

She also did so, prior, competing for the Binibining Cebu crown last year.

She won.

The Miss Universe Philippines finals will be held Sept. 25.
