The top 100 K-pop songs of all time have been revealed.
Korean music platform Melon and newspaper Seoul Shinmun unveiled the list of the top 100 K-pop songs based on the selection of 35 music experts including music critics, music broadcasters and others in the music industry.
The top 100 K-pop songs were selected from an initial list of 1,120 songs. The songs underwent two screenings before the final selection was held.
The selection criteria were symbolism including domestic and international influence; performance including domestic and overseas popularity, and fandom; creativity including artistic creativity; and performance including choreography, music video and stage performance.
Based on the number of songs that are included in the top 100 rankings, the top artists are:
1. BTS - 5 songs
2. SHINee - 4 songs
3. Girls’ Generation, IU, f(x) and Seo Taiji and Boys - 3 songs each
4. 2NE1, Wonder Girls, TVXQ and S.E.S. - 2 songs each
