Over 76K Filipinos applied for TESDA scholarship programs during its 3-day event

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) said that a total of 76,355 Filipinos submitted their application for the agency's scholarship programs during its three-day National TVET Enrollment Day (NTED) held last August 25 to 27.
The agency said that the applicants submitted their applications online.
TESDA Secretary Isidro Lapeña encouraged the public to avail its scholarship programs.
“Even if the NTED is done, we are still offering scholarship programs. They just need to visit our website and Facebook page for more information. This is free,” said Lapeña in a statement on Sunday, Aug. 29.
NTED is a “nationwide event held simultaneously for Filipinos who want to get free” technical-vocational education training (TVET) through TESDA scholarships, the agency said.
"They only need to follow the steps for application. Once submitted, the nearest TESDA district or provincial office will contact the applicants and will be assisted for enrollment at the appropriate training center," the agency said.
