Robredo’s office and the San Pedro City local government unit are aiming to vaccinate 5,000 individuals this weekend, August 28-29.

In a Facebook post, the vice president said the Vaccine Express partnership with San Pedro City covers those from the A2 (senior citizens), A3 (persons with comorbidity), and A5 (indigent population) categories.

“Tanging mga kabilang sa A2 category lamang ang pwede mag walk-in. Kaya siguraduhing nakapagparehistro muna sa City Government ng San Pedro o sa inyong Barangay bago magtungo sa vaccination sites (Only the persons who belong to A2 category are allowed for walk-ins. So make sure to register first in the San Pedro City government or in your community before going to the vaccination sites),” she wrote.

Robredo identified the vaccination sites under the two-day Vaccine Express at the Sisters of Mary Immaculate School and Landayan covered courts.

The program is launched by the Office of the Vice President (OVP), which would partner with various local governments to increase the number of Filipinos vaccinated against COVID-19.

The OVP provides the system and manpower such as volunteer medical workers to support the LGU on its vaccination efforts. Since Robredo’s office has no access to vaccine, the local governments provide the COVID-19 vaccines.

The first Vaccine Express was done in Manila, wherein 4,599 individuals got their first dose of COVID-19 jabs and 2,979 for the second dose.

Outside Metro Manila, the OVP has also partnered with Naga City and Iriga in Camarines Sur, Robredo’s home province, administering 6,719 doses and 6,102 doses for residents, respectively.
