Paranaque City mobile vaccination team inoculates 6,188 residents

The Paranaque City government’s mobile vaccination team has inoculated about 6,188 individuals against COVID-19 since the program started on May 22.

Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, medical director of Ospital ng Paranaque 1& 2, said Mayor Edwin Olivarez created a team that will go down to villages and subdivisions to vaccinate residents belonging to the vulnerable sectors.

Pagsisihan said as of August 26, the Mobile Vaccination Program (MVP) team inoculated a total of 6,188 individuals with the first dose and fully vaccinated 1,684 residents from the 19 homeowners associations in the city.

He said the MVP team also conducted a drive-thru vaccination in Barangay BF Homes wherein a total of 684 individuals got their jabs.

The MVP team accepted walk-ins at their drive-thru vaccination site in BF Homes after they finished the vaccination of the pre-registered residents.

Eva Nono, chief of the Paranaque External and Homeowners Affairs, said residents living in villages and subdivisions prefer that they get vaccinated at home instead of visiting the city government’s vaccination sites for fear of contracting the virus.
