Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte took exception to reports that her father President Duterte would be willing to stand aside in favor of her running for President in 2022, saying that the elder Duterte and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, who were earlier reported to be running for vice president and president, respectively, should instead make public their plans for the next elections, and leave her out of all the political talk.
Meanwhile, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III told a Senate committee that the Philippines will be likely be able to attain herd immunity in the first quarter of 2022 with the current pace of vaccination being undertaken all over the country.
