90.17% of target population in Paranaque inoculated with first dose of COVID-19 vaccine


Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said the city government has already inoculated 90.17 percent of the city’s target population with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine as of August 21.

Olivarez said that out of the 446,923 target population, 403,014 individuals have already received their first dose, while 212, 975 or 52.84 percent have already completed their vaccination.

He said the city government also conducted a mobile vaccination on August 23 in Barangay San Isidro.

The mobile vaccination was supervised by Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan of the Ospital ng Paranaque 1 and 2 in close coordination with Eva Nono, head of the Paranaque External and Homeowners Affairs.

The city’s Mobile Vaccination Program aims to inoculate residents living in barangays with high record of COVID-19 cases and those who could not visit the vaccination sites.

The city mayor also encourages all residents to register at oneparanaque.net for their vaccination schedule.

Olivarez asked the residents to strictly follow the health protocols under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

The city government recorded a total of 1,463 active and 196 new cases of COVID-19 on August 22.

There are six barangays in the city with high number of cases of COVID-19 -- Barangays BF Homes with 279; Don Bosco with172; Moonwalk with 146; San Antonio with 140; San Isidro with 129; and Sun Valley with 109.
