Road lockdowns continue as 15 new COVID-19 cases detected in Angono, Rizal including two toddlers

Fifteen new cases of COVID-19, including a 1-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy have been added to the rising number of infections in Angono, Rizal.

In her Facebook page, Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon announced the addition of 15 new cases with two toddlers as among those who have been listed in the increasing number of residents who contracted the disease.

Patient No. 2563 is a 1-year-old female resident of Barangay Kalayaan who has mild symptoms while Patient No. 2574 is a 2-year-old male resident of Barangay San Isidro who is symptomatic but in stable condition. Both are on home quarantine.

As of August 20, the town has six areas placed under road or block lockdown as the total number of active cases was 167 in the entire Angono.

The latest addition to the locked down areas was Baytown Homes in Barangay Kalayaan which has six active cases as of August 21.

Non-residents are not allowed to enter the subdivision, including ambulant vendors, while delivery riders of essential items are only up to the gate of the community.

Constellation Homes (Phase 1, Phase 2 and Creekside) in Barangay San Isidro will be on lockdown starting Sunday, August 22.

E. Rodriguez Street in Barangay Sto. Nino, Doña Aurora Street in Barangay San Roque and Tiamson Street in Barangay Kalayaan are also on lockdown.

As of August 21, the town recorded a total of 2,577 confirmed cases with 2,306 recoveries and 104 deaths.
