Don Everly, of rock duo Everly Brothers, dies at 84

Isaac Donald "Don" Everly, the last surviving member of the American rock and roll duo The Everly Brothers, has passed away at 84.

A spokesman for the family confirmed the news for the Los Angeles Times, but did not reveal the cause of demise. He died in Nashville, Tennessee.

A statement published by LA Times read:

"Don lived by what he felt in his heart. Don expressed his appreciation for the ability to live his dreams ... with his soulmate and wife, Adela, and sharing the music that made him an Everly Brother.”

Phillip "Phil" Everly, younger brother of Don, died in 2014.

The Everly Brothers began their musical career in 1956. But it was in 1957 when they rose to fame via the songs "Bye, Bye Love," "Wake Up Little Suzie," and "All I Have To Do is Dream."

They followed it up with other hit songs "Bird Dog," "Devoted To You," "Let It Be Me," "Cathy's Clown," "So Sad," "Ebony Eyes," "Crying In The Rain," etc.
