Amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), 32 fitness enthusiasts were apprehended by policemen at a gym in Barangay Manggahan, Pasig on Friday afternoon (August 20).
Based on a police report, policemen raided Kixstart Fitness Gym located at 0344-B Amang Rodriguez Avenue in Barangay Manggahan, Pasig around 5:30 p.m.
Investigators said one of the arrested individuals is the owner of the gym, Francis Dominic B. Rosales.
All the people inside the gym were given citation tickets for violating ECQ protocols such as social distancing, Pasig Police said.
A concerned citizen, according to cops, reported that the Kixstart Fitness Gym was operating despite the fact that gyms in the metropolis were not allowed to operate under ECQ.
Right after the violators were issued citation tickets, the said gym was immediately shut down by the Pasig City Hall.
On August 13, a total 41 individuals were caught violating quarantine regulations by holding a birthday party at the Royana Events Place in Barangay Kalawaan, Pasig.
