Due to the surging cases of COVID-19 in the province, Bulacan police director Col. Lawrence B. Cajipe has ordered the deployment of additional Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel to be backed up force multipliers from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and barangays to strictly enforce border control in three cities and 21 municipal boundaries, provincial boundaries (Bulacan-Manila), and in the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) exit.

A total of 578 police personnel, including 366 police officers, were deployed by the PNP since midnight of August 16.
Cajipe said the stricter border control points will be in effect until August 31, 2021.
The border Quarantine Control Points (QCP) are located in Loma De Gato, Caloocan-Marilao boundary; Bancal QCP along Mc Arthur hi-way Brgy Bancal; Brgy. Bahay Pari-Caloocan boundary; Brgy. Lawa-Valenzuela boundary; Brgy. Bagbaguin, Meycauayan, Bulacan; Crossing Brgy Panghulo, Obando, Bulacan; Villa Valenzuela and Brgy Catanghalan boundary; Wawang Polo and Brgy Paco, Obando boundary.
Checkpoints have been set up in NLEX northbound Exit Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan; NLEX Philippine Arena Brgy Igulot, Bocaue, Bulacan; NLEX northbound Exit Brgy Tambubong Bocaue, Bulacan; Balagtas Exit Brgy. Tiaong Guiguinto Bulacan; NLEX exit southbound Brgy. Sta Rita Guiguinto. Bulacan; NLEX southbound Barangay Patubig, Marilao; Brgy. Malhacan NLEX Toll Exit Southbound; Pulilan Exit Brgy Tibag Pulilan; and Balucuc Apalit, Pampanga-Pulilan Boundary in Barangay Sta Peregrina.
Only those who are providing basic services, daily essentials, essential goods, utilities, and other authorized personnel are allowed to enter and exit the boundaries of the province.
Cajipe said the Bulacan PNP is taking stringent actions to contain and mitigate the spread of the coronavirus in order to ensure the health and safety of all Bulakenyos.
