After three consecutive days when the daily number of cases surpassed 14,000, new infections dropped to 10,035 on the 11^th day of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Metro Manila.

But from the Department of Health (DOH) and OCTA Research Group, there are indications that the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) surge, said to be fueled by the Delta variant, is far from over.

Meanwhile, President Duterte announced the proposed P5.024-trillion national budget for 2022, from which social services would be getting the largest share.
