BTS’ ‘Butter’ 7th on Hot 100 after 9 weeks at No. 1; on top of Digital Song Sales for 11th week

K-pop superstars BTS’ “Butter” grabbed seventh place on Billboard Hot 100 from fourth last week after spending nine weeks at No. 1 on the chart.

According to Billboard, “Butter” took seventh place on the Aug. 21-dated chart as “Stay” by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber took the No. 1 spot for the second straight week.

This is the 12th straight week since June 5 that BTS stayed in the top 10 on Hot 100. Of the 12 weeks, “Butter” spent nine weeks at No. 1 while “Permission to Dance” took the No. 1 spot on the July 24-dated chart.

Here are the Hot 100 top 10 rankings of BTS’ “Butter” (and “Permission to Dance”) in the last 12 weeks:

Billboard reported that while “Butter” slid to seventh place this week on Hot 100, it is No. 1 on the “Digital Song Sales for an 11th week (62,900, down 20%).”

“Butter” still holds the record to date for the most number of weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 this year with nine, eclipsing the record of Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License," which spent eight weeks on top from Jan. 23 to March 13-dated charts.

The Billboard Hot 100 chart is based on US streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales.
