Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) announces the appointment of Tarang Gupta as its new Managing Director, effective 1 August 2021. He takes the place of Harvey Uong, who has been appointed as Senior Vice President – Region Asia for AMC’s parent company, FrieslandCampina.

“AMC has a legacy of providing quality and affordable nutrition for Filipinos, and I am excited to be working with the Philippine team in continuing this mission,” shared Gupta. In this new role, Gupta now leads the Philippine team in ushering in new business opportunities and more optimized ways of working, driving the AMC business to continue strengthening its market position in the dairy industry. “With the FrieslandCampina blueprint, I will be working to ensure the AMC business remains agile in adapting to our business environments and drive our purpose of Nourishing every Filipino everyday” he added.
Gupta has 20 years of FMCG experience with over 11 years of experience with FrieslandCampina, having first joined as the Global Marketing Director for Infant Nutrition in 2010. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (FrieslandCampina Malaysia), where he was able to lead the business to be No. 1 in market position in both specialized nutrition and consumer dairy and bring the company to be recognised as one of the best in providing nutrition to improve health status of Malaysians.
