Remulla on sexy photo issue: It's not an issue

CAVITE - Governor Jonvic Remulla said President Duterte should not discredit a Metro Manila mayor over “bikini” photos from his past and for allegedly being trained to be a “call boy.”

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is the only current Metro Manila local chief executive who previously appeared in sexy movies.

"Yorme did not do those provocative poses while in office as a respected councilor, vice mayor or as the current Manila Mayor," Remulla wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday (August 11) which he titled Yorme Part 2.

"Kung ako ang tatanungin ninyo? Hindi ito isyu (If you were to ask me, it's not an issue)."

According to the governor, the important thing is that Moreno never did anything illegal nor brought shame to Manila as a public servant.

"Yorme did not break any laws by joining showbiz in his youth nor by posing sexy in photos," Remulla added.

"Eh kung sexy lang din ako at pogi noong araw? Ala-Richard Gomez?Malamang nag-showbiz na din ako (If I was sexy when I was younger like Richard Gomez? Maybe I would've joined showbiz)," the governor joked.

"Yorme should not be judged on such juvenile merits. Let his record of governance speak for itself."

Remulla and Moreno were involved in a brief feud in April over the issue of the financial aid for former Manila residents who were relocated to Naic, Cavite.
