A Filipino seafarer had the luxury of being the only passenger in an 180-seater aircraft and having the entire business class to himself on a flight to Brisbane, Australia.

TJ De Jesus Imbat said the plane continued on its course even if he was the only passenger after others who were supposed to board the flight to Brisbane cancelled their flights.
He added that since he was the only passenger on the flight, the flight steward decided to transfer him to business class.
“‘Yung flight steward na ‘yung nag-decide nun, ‘yung parang senior nila. ‘Yung supervisor nila na flight steward na nandun sa airplane ‘yung nag-decide na ilipat ako sa business class kasi iisa lang naman daw ako (The flight steward was the one who decided to transfer me to business class because I was the only passenger)," Imbat said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

"So nandoon na ako sa loob ng plane, in-upgrade nila yung seat ko from economy to business class as well as my meals. (I was already on board and they upgraded my seat from economy to business class as well as my meals) I'm very thankful to them," the 31-year-old seafarer said in a separate video message sent to Manila Bulletin.
Imbat added that the flight attendants said that it was their first time to have only one passenger in a 180-seater plane in their 20 years of service.

"'Yung emergency procedures and donning ng life jacket, one-on-one kami nung isa, yung tatlo nagkukwentuhan na lang (The emergency procedures and donning a life jacket, we were one-on-one while the other three were talking to each other), shared Imbat, adding he was also given wine and chocolates by the flight attendants.
"When I found out that I was the only one there on the airplane, I laughed and was happy because I had never experienced that. I also don't have the experience to sit in business class, " Imbat told ABS CBN,
