Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos said that 325,188 individuals have been inoculated with their first dose of the vaccine, which is equivalent to 100.01 percent of the 325,127 individuals eligible for vaccination. This is 70 percent of the city's total population of 464,467.

Meanwhile, 220,598 individuals have been fully vaccinated.

"We're happy to announce that we've reached our target this early. Our next goal is to complete the remaining second dose for those who have yet to receive it," Abalos said.

The mayor said that the LGU has also vaccinated 31,257 senior citizens with their first dose of the vaccine, equivalent to 105.07 percent as of July 28, while
25,597 senior citizens have been fully vaccinated.

Abalos said the success of the city's vaccination program can be attributed to the local government's partnership with the private sector and the cooperation of every Mandaleño.

"This is the accomplishment not only of the city government, but of every Mandaleño who were inoculated, thinking not only of their own safety but of their families and communities as well," she said.

The LGU also continues to ramp up its "Relax, We're Vaxxed" sticker campaign to boost the public's confidence on the vaccines.
