A total of 22,324 families affected by flooding due to monsoon rains received family food packs from the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).

Governor Daniel R. Fernando and PSWDO head Rowena J. Tiongson conducted a relief operation in Barangays Sta. Lucia, San Miguel, and Gatbuca in Calumpit wherein a total of 3,738 families were given food packs.
In Balagtas town, 8,093 families from Barangays Panginay, Wawa, and San Juan were given relief goods including the 1,600 families in Barangay Poblacion 11, Marilao, Bulacan.
The relief distribution continued last Saturday in Barangays Gugo, Meysulao, and Frances in Calumpit town benefitting 3,491 families. The relief operation extended to Barangays Abangan Norte and Poblacion in Marilao where 6,641 families received relief goods.
Fernando encouraged Bulakenyos to pray and to remain vigilant.
“Ganitong panahon naramdaman na natin ang mga malalakas na pag-ulan. Wala pa man tayo sa buwan ng Setyembre, Oktubre, Nobyembre kung saan kasagsagan ng mga kalamidad at mga bagyo, ipagdasal na po natin ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa at tayo naman po sa Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ay patuloy na magbabantay at tutulong sa inyo,” (We have started experiencing heavy rains and we are not yet in the months of September, October, and November when we usually have the calamities and typhoons. We, at the Provincial government, will continue to monitor and help you)," the governor said.
