Rizal Province mayors appeal for more vaccines from DOH-Calabarzon

The municipal mayors, through the League of Mayors of Rizal Province, are urging the Department of Health (DOH)-Region 4-A to allocate additional vaccines for the province.

In his capacity as president of the Rizal Chapter of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Binangonan Mayor Cesar Ynares, in his letter to Director Eduardo C. Janairo of the DOH-Center for Health Development IV, Region 4-A, appealed, on behalf of the Rizal residents, for the possible provision of more vaccines based on the population of the municipalities.

Ynares, who signed the letter, together with Angono Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon, and Baras Mayor Katherine Robles, said they have agreed to ask the DOH "if it is possible to have an equitable and proportionate distribution’ of the vaccines among the towns based on available data, one of which is population."

They appealed to the DOH to consider their request for additional vaccines against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) "in the interest of fairness and good governance."

The mayors also requesting their constituents to register through their respective vaccination portals.
