SSS offices in Metro Manila on skeleton force under ECQ

The Social Security System (SSS) offices within Metro Manila will operate on a skeleton workforce following the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the region.

In an advisory, SSS said its main office, SSS Makati Building, and all SSS branches in Metro Manila will be operating with a skeleton workforce from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Aug. 20.

During ECQ, the no-contact dropbox system will be strictly implemented.

Members and claimants were urged to stay at home and file their claims online.

"Despite the availability of Dropboxes in our branches, it is more prudent to wait until the lifting of ECQ/MECQ to submit your claim applications," SSS said.

SSS will also implement a no-contact Dropbox system in its branches in Laguna, Iloilo City, and Cagayan de Oro until Aug. 15.

Metro Manila is under ECQ from Aug. 6 to 20.
