In a virtual public briefing, PGH Spokesperson Dr. Jonas del Rosario said of the six patients, one experience mild symptoms, while two are moderate, and three are critical.

"Isa po sa mga nakaka-complicate sa mga patient namin sa PGH ay may kanya-kanya po silang comorbidities (One of the things that complicates the situation of our patients is when they have comorbidities)," Del Rosario noted.

"Usually po nagkaka-pneumonia po yung mga bata na nagkaka-COVID at yun po ang nakakadagdag at minsan po kailangan silang mabigyan ng ventilatory support, na i-intubate po (Usually children who catch COVID get pneumonia and that's what worsens their situation and sometimes they need to be given ventilatory support, they need to be intubated)," he added.

Del Rosario said two of those who are currently critical have comorbidities, while the third has complications from COVID-19.
