Execration pulled the rug from under favored teams Fnatic and Motivate.Trust Gaming, sweeping them both 2-0 to grab the lead in the Beyond the Summit (BTS) Pro Series Season 7-Southeast Asia on Friday night, August 6.

The boys in black and blue hiked their record to three series victories and two draws against a lone defeat, good for the No. 1 spot in the eight-team standings.

Execration also strengthened its bid for a spot in the upper bracket wherein the top four teams from the group stage will advance while the bottom four will fall to the lower bracket of the $50,000 (over P2.5 million) online tournament.

Stand-in mid laner Mark Anthony "Bob" Urbina (South Built Esports) starred with his Puck in Game 1 against Fnatic, racking up 12 kills and 10 assists against four deaths as Execration overcame a strong start by the Malaysia-based powerhouse.

It was a back-and-forth battle in Game 2 but Jinn "Palos" Lamatao's Terrorblade armed with a Double Damage rune crushed three Fnatic heroes including Polo "Raven" Fausto's Tiny before the Filipino squad went for the GG push in the 33rd minute.

Heading to the match versus MG.Trust with momentum, Execration came through with a come-from-behind triumph in Game 1 thanks to multiple disables from the Nyx Assassin of Carlo "BDz" Manalo and Brewmaster of veteran Jay "raging-_-potato" Qui (also known as Bimbo).

The Filipinos once again clawed their way back to victory in Game 2 behind Bob's Viper which got so much sustain from Ralph Richard "RR" Peñano's Abaddon.

Execration will spring back to action against fellow Filipino team OB x Neon Esports on Sunday night.
