QC gov’t clarifies ‘no vaccine, no quarantine pass’ policy

The Quezon City government has clarified that residents do not need to be vaccinated first before being qualified to get a quarantine pass.

It made the statement Friday night after an officer of Barangay Central said in a now viral video that residents getting quarantine passes should be inoculated first, otherwise they would not get it.

Barangay Quirino 2-B also issued the same policy on August 2, ahead of the reimposition of the enhanced community quarantine in Metro Manila.

The local government only said that “it is better if the quarantine pass holder is vaccinated to avoid developing severe symptoms” if they get infected with COVID-19.

“This is just an advice and not a requirement,” the local government added.
