Comelec says satellite registration in Metro Manila also suspended during ECQ


The Commission on Elections (Comelec) also suspended satellite registration in the National Capital Region during the enhanced community quarantine.

"Suspension of voter registration in all Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) from August 6 to 20, 2021 due to ECQ," the poll body said in an advisory Thursday, August 5.

"Including satellite registration in barangays, malls, other venues," it further read.

In a separate advisory, the Comelec announced that the Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV) Registration Center at the Ground Floor of Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila will be open for voter registration and issuance of certifications during the ECQ.
It added that prior appointment is required.

The Comelec National Central File Division (NCFD) satellite office at FEMII Building, Extension Cabildo Street cor. A. Soriano Avenue in Intramuros, Manila will also be open for issuance of local voter's certification.

The Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) earlier placed NCR under ECQ from August 6 to 20 to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
