Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has ordered the implementation of the market day scheme to avoid crowding at the city’s public market.

In a memorandum order she issued on August 2, Rubiano directed the market head, the police and barangay officials to immediately enforce the schedules of market days in the city.

She said the market days for Barangays 1 to 40; 68 to 92; 145 to 157; 183 and 187 to 201 will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The mayor said Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday will be the market days for Barangays 41 to 67, 93 to 144, 158 to 182 and 184 to 186.

Rubiano said Sunday will be for market goers from other cities, and for the frontliners.

She also reminded the people to strictly observe the health protocols while inside the market like the wearing of face masks and face shields, and observing physical distancing.

The mayor advised those who will be visiting the market to bring valid identification cards to be allowed access inside the market on their scheduled day.
