Nigerian beats trike driver to death with metal pipe

DAGUPAN CITY — A 41-year-old tricycle driver was killed by a Nigerian national he had an altercation with in Barangay Lucao, this city, early today.

The victim, Dennis Razo, a resident of Barangay Lucao, was on board his tricycle when he approached the suspect, Nigerian national Emmanuelemeka Endukwe, 31, and offered him a ride, thinking he was a potential passenger.

Endukwe, in reply, uttered unsavory words and cursed at Razo, causing them to enter a heated altercation. Endukwe then charged at Razo, causing the latter to get a metal pipe in his tricycle for defense.

The suspect managed to disarm Razo and take his pipe, and hit the victim with a headbutt, causing Razo to fall down.

Unsatisfied, Endukwe, still armed with the pipe he took from the victim, continued beat the weakened Razo several times in the head until the victim was no longer moving.

Razo was rushed to the hospital by authorities, but was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, Endukwe is now under police custody.

It was learned that Endukwe was involved in a case of direct assault last April 2021.

Furthermore, several complaints were also lodged against him by both Filipinos and Nigerians alike, because of his ‘aggressive’ behavior.
