Jollibee opens 2 more branches in California

Jollibee Foods Corporation reported that it now has over 50 Jollibee restaurants in the United States with the recent opening of two branches in California.

California welcomed two new Jollibee stores in Bakersfield and Torrance, with the latter getting a very special customer in its drive-thru – a cowboy on a horse who lined up with the long queue of cars patiently waiting for their turn to order.

In a statement, Jollibee said the opening of branches in Bakersfield and Torrance is part of the brand’s accelerated growth plan in North America.

The Jollibee Bakersfield store is located at 5520 Stockdale Highway, while its Torrance store is at 20100 Hawthorne Boulevard.

California is also home to Jollibee’s first U.S. location, which opened in Daly City in 1998 and remains one of its best performing locations in the region. It is also home to more Jollibee locations than any other state.

“We are excited to bring our delicious menu offerings to our loyal fans and curious new customers who live, work and play in these cities,” said Maribeth Dela Cruz, President of Jollibee Group North America, Philippine Brands.

She added that, “California is where we first opened our doors in America more than two decades ago, and we look forward to continue building our presence here in this beautiful region.”

Long lines of cars welcomed Jollibee’s latest openings in Torrance and Bakersfield. These openings bring the brand’s store count to over 50 in Mainland US, with 25 stores in California alone.

Since the start of 2021, Jollibee has opened eight new locations, keeping the brand on track to achieve 500 restaurants throughout North America in the next five to seven years.

Over the coming months, Jollibee is planning to open more restaurants including in California, Downtown Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, New Jersey, and Manhattan. It will also open new stores in Toronto Yonge and Broadway, Calgary CrossIron Mills, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.
