Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra staged another virtual performance


Indie and Alternative music this time!

On July 23, The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) staged another concert billed as “The PPO Spotlight: Virtual Pocket Performance,” which streamed through the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ (CCP) website.

This time around, the concert focused on indie and alterantive music with pieces such as “With A Smile” by Eraserheads to be played by Ayesa Cruz on Violin and Madeline Jane Banta on Harp, “Tadhana” by Up Dharma Down (arranged by Naldy Rodrigues) to be played by Maria Angelica Uson on Violin and Herrick Ortiz on Cello, “Halik ni Hudas” by Wolfgang (Arranged by Glenn Aguias) to be interpreted by Giancarlo Gonzales on Cello, “Salamat” by The Dawn (arranged by Thoedore Amper) to be rendered by Christian Tan on Violin, Jose Carlo Tuazon on Violin, Rey Casey Concepcion on Viola, Giuseppe Andre Diestro on Cello, and Vincent Dela Cruz on Contrabass, lastly, “Harana” by Eric Yaptangco to be played by Brass & Percussion section with Abner Cruz on Electric Bass.

The PPO Online Pocket Performance Series, which runs will run until the end of July 2021, is a program of the PPO that can be viewed through the its Facebook page and the CCP’s official YouTube channel.
