Let us count the reasons why these chic sandals are a luxury must-have
From Valentino, Proenza Schouler, Stussy, and Rick Owens, Birkenstock forges its collaborative power as Jil Sander enters the roster.
Birkenstock has been the go-to sandals of every person who likes to marry style and comfort. For this collaboration with the German fashion label, the cozy sandals are getting a chic treatment courtesy of Luke and Lucie Meier, Jil Sander’s creative directors.
Four silhouettes getting the Jil Sander treatment are the classics: Arizona leather sandals, Berlin suede slippers, Milano sandals, and the all new Velan shoes, which is a take on the Berlin clog but with a soft strap that wraps around the ankle disguising as a ballerina shoes.
The brand says that the collection drew inspiration from the love of the duo for mother nature. “Drawn from experiences of their upbringing in the Swiss Alps and Canada, Lucie and Luke Meier rely on Mother Nature as their unrivalled source of inspiration. Uniquely inline with human nature and the integrity of both brands, the collaborative collection speaks Jil Sander’s newly found contemporary language,” the brand ends.
