6 arrested in drug den raid in Port Area in Manila


At least six people were arrested when combined elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) police and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) raided a suspected drug den in Port Area in Manila on Tuesday, July 27.

PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region (RO-NCR) Director Christian Frivaldo identified the suspects as: Romell Pencaliro, (drug den maintainer); Roland Tonog; Jonathan Patiño; Andrew Mayor; Ronald Toroba; and Edwardo Arinio.

During the operation, the anti-narcotics men seized nine pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with shabu weighing 14 grams worth P95,200.00; two pieces of opened plastic sachets with crystalline residue; several drug paraphernalia, cellular phones and an identification card.

The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002’’.
