Orestes Ojeda passes away at 65

Former actor Orestes Ojeda, born Luis Pagalilaluan, has succumbed to pancreatic cancer.

He was 65.

The news was shared via Facebook by friends and family.

Vilma Villareal added, “Rest In Peace my dear friend Luis Pagalilauan (Orestes Ojeda). You will be missed. A gentle, kind, mild mannered and caring person. Health conscious as well based on our latest conversation. My schoolmate and batchmate Class ‘70. Have known Luis since third grade. We did have a fun and joyful time during our Golden Reunion. , Feb 2020. Enjoy the Paradise prepared for you Luis and you will be basking in God’s Kingdom.Sincere condolence to the bereaved family, relatives and loved ones.

Ojeda, appeared in over a hundred films starting his showbiz career when he was just 17 years old.

His most memorable outing was in the original “Scorpio Nights” opposite Anna Marie Gutierrez and Daniel Fernando.

Gutierrez also posted a tribute to Ojeda on Facebook.

She said, “I’m very sad to know that my co-star in Scorpio nights and a good friend Orestes Ojeda passed away. He was a gentleman, polite and kind. Please pray for him…”
