CJ Gesmundo to attend Duterte's SONA at Batasan

Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo is expected to attend physically the last State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Duterte at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City starting at 4 p.m. today, July 26.

Reports stated that the other Supreme Court (SC) justices, including Court Administrator Jose Midas P. Marquez, have been invited to view the SONA in Malacanang in Manila.

Just like last year’s SONA, the President’s address to the nation will follow a hybrid format, part physical and part virtual.

SONA is delivered yearly by the country’s President as provided for by the 1987 Constitution.

During SONA, the President will report to all Filipinos the current state of the country and the government’s agenda for the coming year.
