DOST Secretary Fortunato “Boy” T. de la Peña reported that the DOST-Camiguin “has successfully assisted” RCM Audio and Led Wall Provider under the agency’s Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP).

"With the holistic approach of SETUP, RCM Audio and Led Wall Provider were provided with appropriate equipment and technical consultancy services including the MPEX. As a result, the market outlets of the firms have expanded outside Region 10,” he said.

He said through SETUP, RCM Audio and Led Wall Provider has already increased their sales by 38 percent or about P3 million.

The DOST chief said the firm’s productivity also increased by two percent for just a span of one year since the start of project duration.

“The company is now making the repayments to DOST,” he said.

SETUP seeks to assist micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in adopting technological innovations to improve their products and operations.

"A total of 15 direct individuals and 50 indirect individuals were provided with employment since the program. Nine new related businesses have already been generated through this project,” de la Peña said.

He said the firm caters to those who are in need of improved and innovative Digital Audio Mixer and Robotic and Light Controller.

“ For 15 years, RCM has been dedicated to create an innovative look to the services and products they offer and introduce new technologies and solutions with the rising demand for advanced light and audio-video experience,” he said.
