The wish list includes the President's plan in addressing the problems brought about by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

"How are we doing with the 'herd immunity'? How are we attending to those who have lost their jobs and business?" Cubao Bishop Honesto Ongtioco said in an interview Saturday, July 24.

"One is his strategy to protect our country from the pandemic. How to recover from the heavy economic loss," retired Sorsogon Bishop Arturo Bastes said.

The prelate also want to hear about the drug problem, the President's relationship with China, peace and order, and education in schools during pandemic.

For his part, San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza listed end of contractualization , red tagging, extrajudicial killings, and push for renewable energy to address worsening climate emergency.

Retired Novaliches Teodoro Bacani, meantime, expressed hope that the President's SONA will be truthful.

"I expect plenty of window dressing for a failed administration that has been marked by killings, lies and obsceneties and neglect of the interests of our country," he said.

"It would be a change if the President speaks truthfully n expresses regrets for his failings in governance and personal example," added Bacani.
