TANZA, Cavite - A total of 22 houses in the coastal areas of Tanza, Cavite were washed out due to monsoon rains brought by typhoon “Fabian” on Saturday (July 24).
As of 4 p.m. Saturday, the local government unit (LGU) has evacuated 213 families or 699 individuals from coastal barangays and an area near the river.
The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (MDDRMO) told the Manila Bulletin that they are trying their best to implement coronavirus disease (COVID-19) health and safety protocols in evacuation centers.
The LGU, in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, continues to monitor the situation in high-risk areas of the town facing Manila Bay.
