CEBU CITY – An armed man breaking into the house of a city councilor here was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV).
Cebu City Councilor James Cuenco has urged the police to strictly implement the curfew after his house in Barangay Gudalupe was burglarized.
The burglar carrying what looked like a long firearm was able to enter the house unnoticed.
The intruder was also able to enter Cuenco’s room while he was sleeping.
Cuenco said it was on Thursday morning that they discovered that a pair of pants and his wallet were missing.
The wallet contained P25,000.
“Fortunately, no one was harmed during the incident,” said Police Lt. Col. Wilbert Parilla, deputy chief for operations of the Cebu City Police Office.
Parilla said the CCTV footage will be a big help in identifying the burglar.
“We will compare the CCTV footage with the photos of individuals who were previously arrested for robbery. We will conduct profiling and good thing there was a CCTV,” said Parilla.
