Vice President Leni Robredo said she was still undecided about her plans for the 2022 elections, saying running for President was not as easy as it seemed.

In an interview with reporters in Naga on Friday, July 23, Robredo said reiterated that she was yet to make up her mind about her political plans.

"Very honest ako since the very start na hanggang ngayon wala pang desisyon (I've been honest since the very start that until now I haven't decided yet," she said.

According to the Vice President, deciding on running for a national post was not simple because there were many things to consider.

"Wala pang desisyon kasi madali lang sabihin na kakandidato akong presidente o hindi ako kakandidatong presidente. Pero marami kasing considerations (I have no decision yet. It's easy to say that I will run or not for president but there are many things to think about)," she said.

One of the things in Robredo's mind was her current place on surveys.

The recent Pulse Asia survey for presidential preference showed that six percent of the respondents would vote for Robredo if ran for president.

"Marami tayong mga supporters na nagsasabi, 'Kung iyong pag-VP mo nga nag-umpisa ka na 1 percent kinaya mo, puwede namang kayanin pa rin ngayon' (We have many supporters telling me that I won as vice president despite starting at just one percent. They told me it may happen again)," the Vice President said.

"Pero ang daming factors na kailangan i-consider (But again, there are many factors that should be considered)," she added.

The Vice President likewise pointed out the need to have plenty of resources if she wanted to run for president. In March this year, Robredo admitted that the lack of resources was making it difficult for her to decide whether or not she will run for the presidential polls next year.
